Default After j&m rokker xt 7.252/rf pbr300x2 install

Need a little clarification after install going to set like this:gain at 5/freq between 60-80hz/set to hp/avc turned off.also when cranked up light starts to blink on left side of the amp and other light just stays lit after 5-min almost to hot to touch. stupid question if one speaker polarity incorrect whould that create more heat or just would'nt work at all thanks for any help added amp last night and ready to set gains system was so loud at half way i know i wll damge something if not proper settings.

I have the same set up (300x2 and Rokkers) here's my settings: Gain @4, 80-100hz, HP, AVC off. I dont recall what lights came on and blinked etc on the amp, so i cannot comment there.
If you have the speaker polarity reversed this will just sound unbalanced, I dont see a reason why this would generate excessive heat.
These little amps do get hot, but I have been running mine for about a year and its been flawless.
Im in SoCal (Irvine) PM if you need help.

Had the rockers and put mm6501 polks you can't compare the rockers to the polks. Trying to have bass on a bike is impossible with a 6.5 speaker mounted in a plastic box. Put the gain on 5 and set it to HP.

my polks put out some sound. I can turn the sony wide open all day long with clear crisp sound. But when I'm beside ROKKERS, their sound is full. I'm not expecting bass that equals a pair of 12".

If you done heard the rockers on other peoples bike you know what the bass response is like. I have owned both and like the ones I have now a lot better. I run the PBR 300x2 and with the cross over set to low the rockers could not handle it but I can put the cross over to 50 and it is crystal clear at the same gain setting and a lot more bass. But to be honest going down the road at 70mph the all sound like a transistor radio but the polks are the ones I like.

Those are 2 ohm speakers. That amp WON'T work with those speakers. The RF PBR's require 4 ohm speakers. That amp runs warm enough with the right speakers. You will eventually fry that amp with those speakers. Try any of the 4 ohm speakers that you might read about on the forum. I'm partial to Focal. Good luck!

The 300x4 uses 4 ohm or higher speakers.

The 300x2 can use speakers as low as 2 ohms.
