Beautiful bikes! Your '69 is exactly the bike that got me hooked on 'bare bones' FLs years ago.

I currently have '09 FLHTP police bike and rode 40400 km in two seasons with it in every possible weather and climate from Morocco to Iceland. I ride during winter as well when the road is dry.
To me, the fairing never worked – buffeting drives me nuts. Never had the radio as well – police bikes have an open box instead which I use to put my gloves in and also a tank cap when I refill).
When it came to '14 choice (to me '14 ARE a clear improvement, no debate) I consulted my OL, she does not care about radio (surprise here, she is 12 years younger and SHE finds it a bad taste to demonstrate your music preferences to others))).
So I paid deposit for green '14 SERK.
Will not sleep well until it arrives (December at best is what i've been told). Could have got an orange one immediately right from stock, but think the green one is what I like more.
Yes I am aware of Green Harley superstition.

Before I bought my 12 RKC I rented both for a week, was a smart decision because I was thinking SG, two up the RK wins hands down, not sure why but it was more comfortable and seemed to handle better. Also I like to have the option to remove the shield as well, sure makes cleaning easier too. Don't get me wrong the SG was nice but as said the factory sound system sucked and I saw no sense to put out that amount and then have to do major upgrades. Besides I stole a brand new leftover 2012 RKC for $15K out the door. That definately helped me choose!

The green is gorgeous, it was on the demo truck and she really stood out in the crowd.
