Default Question on 4.3 and 6.5 Boom! audio for '14

Wondering if this system is loud enough, but more importantly, clear at speeds 75+

On the HD website, both are putting out 25 watts per channel, but I've had two dealers tell me that the 6.5 is more powerful and one that told me they're the same except for the screen size, touch screen and obviously navigation.
Does anyone know the truth on this one?

Is this system much better than the late model HK radios even with amps and speaker upgrades?

Thanks

The stock 6.5 system on my '14 limited is as loud and clear as the system I had on my '12 with amp and speaker upgrades.

I can hear it clearly at 75mph with zero distortion.

I rode 3 hours this morning at 77 with Rush Big Louie's and heard talk/rock and county just fine.

4.3 and 6.5 use the same audio features/speakers. The only difference is the additional NAV and other options you get with 6.5. I have the 6.5 on my SGS and like it, will probably change speakers eventually but for now they are fine.

I just got a Charcoal Pearl Street Glide 14' and it has the regular radio. And the dealership told me that the normal radio only puts out 5 watts and the navigation radio puts out 25 watts per channel.. I actually want to change my speakers too. I love JL Audio since I use them on my boat. Their 6 1/2 " speakers sound insane and the voice coils are about as clear as anything. I was told I shouldn't switch away from what Harley made or has available for upgrades but I am trying to figure out other options without spending a ton of money. Anybody have suggestions?

I actually keep having connecting and reading issues for my ipod nano too. I need to get it checked out. Works fine in my BMW so I don't get whats the problem. I am having issues going back and forth between the radio and the ipod. Sometimes it works and other times it is frozen and I get nothing on the ipod or media function as they call it.

I had an amp and upgraded speakers on my '12 Limited. I feel the stock on my '14 Limited are adequate, but not as good.

Particularly at higher speeds. Say 70+.

At some point, I'll upgrade, fwiw.

I think the sound quality on this thing sucks ***. It sounds overmodulated and the fact they boast their speakers have 1% THD is insulting. The amp upgrade is horrendously overpriced. I feel it should help with the clarity but will it be worth $600, probably not. I should also add that I worked as a car audio electronics installer for 7 years so I may be a bit biased on sound quality.
