Default Good thing I wiped down the bike....loose bolts

After a 60 mile ride this morning, I decided to use some quick detailer spray and wipe the bike down and get all the bugs and water spots off from last week. When I got to the floorboard on the passenger side of the bike, it was loose. One of the bolts on the mount was really loose. My bike only has 210 miles on it. Something to be aware of if you have a new or old bike. With new, some things may be overlooked prior to delivery. A good wipe down might save you some problems down the road!

Loose parts from assembly is the reason Harley suggest riding 50 mph the first 50 miles or so.

One of the best reasons to wash your vehicle ( any) with bucket, soap, sponge.

I've found enough problems early from loose parts to build another vehicle over time.

That's not the reason I wash with a bucket and soap, but I do agree because that is how I found out I was missing an the exhaust hanger behind the engine. I am surprised I didn't feel more vibration.

Same thing happened to me on my Roady.
Just happened on it and it was backed out an inch out.

Was a frame bolt.

My driver right side floor board was loose and I tightened just a couple of days ago. Strange.

Recently I noticed a faint odor of some kind of oil burning. I checked the Allen head bolts on the transmission cover . Two were loose allowing a trickle of trans fluid to hit the exhaust pipe. I had to shorten an Allen wrench to be able to tighten them without removing the right side exhaust, it was on an 09 ultra.
