The 3.5s are a little louder, and more of a raspy sound. The 4s are deeper, and IMO look much better. Performance should be the same between them.

Looks mostly. Probably a little deeper as well. I don't know how many 4" slip-ons Rinehart has but at least on of them is more restrictive than normal so people can install them w/o doing a Stage 1. Do your homework.

they both have the same 2.5" baffles. The main difference is looks and then of course the deeper sound from the 4". I have the 4" extremes on my 12 Sharknose.

I've had both performance wise nothing, sound 4" is deeper as far as either being louder I didn't notice any, I personally think the 4's look better. Now I did put the 2.5" baffles in my 4" and they are louder and I like them better than the 2.25".

I have the Rinehart 3.5's on an Ultra Classic, and the 4 inch on a Street Glide, both have the cats removed, both are 110 motors. 4 inch have a deeper sound and are louder than the 3.5's. The 3.5's are nice for touring, you can hear the radio and have a nice sound to them. They both really bark when the throttle is twisted. As far as performance its hard to say if the slip on effect the performance, since the entire system has been modified.

I got the rinehart 4" and vance and hines power duals on my 2012 sg. I like em. They got a good deep rumble to them. There nice at cruisin speeds not over
Whelming you can hear the radio with no problem. They really come to life when you twist the wick wide open. Thinkin about puttin the 2.5" performance baffle in. Rich did you notice any performance difference when you switched?

The 4" are going to be a little bit of a deeper sound but look a lot nicer in my opinion. Not as aggressive sounding as the 3.5" though. The 3.5" should not be used on any of the newer touring bikes that have the CAT so if you plan on using them on the newer touring bike make sure you remove the CAT or change the headpipes. Otherwise your 3.5" chrome slip ons won't look chrome for very long.
