Neither. Go with Biketronics 7.1", or with Polk MM651's 6.5" with Draronfly adaptors. Just be aware that some people have had problems with the Polks using an amp.

Hogtunes is a lateral move. You can do better. Never had or heard Boom. Titan II 6.5 upgrade from Biketronics is a good one. I've had them. Just get an amp too.

I have a RoadGglide and installed the Boom speakers. They made a definite improvement. They are much clearer than stock and are somewhat louder at the same volume settings. The Harmon Kardon unit still put out distortion if you get it too loud. The radio shows more distortion than the cd player. With my boom speakers I can hear good at 70mph, but at 80 mph they need a little help. Is anyone running a small modestly priced amp that they can recommend?

Hogtunes Big Ultra with tweeter pod on mine, simple install, no splicing or screwing around, much better sound, solid customer support & warranty. Best bang for the buck in my opinion.

Go hangout in the Audio Forum. Personally I don't think you should be limiting yourself to those two choices. They are a step up from stock but for what you pay it is a small and costly step. Do some thorough research and get the most bang for your buck.

I wouldn't do either! Check out the Audio section! JBL/Infinity 6.5" 2ohm coax speakers without amp. Polk mm651 or titan 7.1 with a Rockford Fosgate pbr 2 channel amp.

I have the boom audio in my Ultra and the Hogtunes in my Streetglide. I prefer the sound of the Hogtunes and they are $30 cheaper.
