Used one for years.
It could get tricky if you have to hold the bike up then slide lift under it.
Or set the jiffy on a pc of 2x4.....Whats the dimensions of the lift pads at it's furthest point?

Yellow Sears pro will fit under anything. IMO good lift use the heck out of mine.

I looked at that the other day (looks much better built than the yellow one) and the distance between pads was 13" if I'm not mistaken, how much further out did you spread them?

Never actually took a width measurement. I used a washer between the pads and the frame of the lift, as well as nylon lock nuts. I think I gained around 3/4" clearance. Easily lifts the 800+lb bike with no problem. I think I paid $66 with shipping included.

Yeah, I ended up doing this. Both were on sale. The red Sears looked to be the same damn jack as HF, but surprisingly cheaper than HF. Bought the Sears red, brought it home started putting it together. Decided I really hated the design. Too many moving parts, too much adjustment, separate bottle jack. I boxed it up and was standing at the same register, with the same employee, in less than 2 hours to exchange it. I love the Sears Pro yellow one.

Have to admit, sometimes I still just put a 2X6 under the kickstand. Sometimes a 1X6 too. So if I had stuck with the Sears red I'm sure I would've just done that b4 trying to get the lift under the bike.

Not a Crysby fan at all, but I do really like the number he picked. It's not just his lucky number and/or birth year. It is also his month & day as well. He was born 8-7-87. That's pretty damn cool.
