Stero systems on Road Kings???

A friend pointed me to a site last weeks that as self contained setups for the RK and other bikes. They include a batwing fairing with speakers and the stereo unit. They are supposed to mount on the standard windshield docking points. I would think the unit could be powered up from the pigtail under the seat. Still checking details.

On my hubby's road king and my deluxe. Was on my sporty moved it when I got my deluxe. It was made for softail a / road kings. Easy install. Radio/ mp3 with SD card. Also can hook up sat radio/ iPhone etc with the aux port that goes into your headphone jack.
The small amp of the unit is in my windshield bag and my hubbies back left saddle bag. The tiny wires for the speakers run under the tank to the bars. It is hooked strait up to the battery.
Below is two pictures of the speakers. A few of the HDF ladies ordered them after I got mine. The owner told them he remembered us since not many people ride a sportster (my old bike) to sturgis from the east coast... I LOVE my radio. The speakers are small and chrome but powerful. I have a few thousand songs on a SD card ( also has a USB port) and then use my iPhone pandora if I want something else.

There are a lot of options out there if you research them. Easy to find. I have the HD Boom handlebar speakers and amp. 2- 40 watt speakers and a 100 watt amp with controls on the handlebar for volume up/down and on/off. It is a simple to use and easy to hook up. Just make sure you buy the relay kit that it states to buy in the owners manual. If you dont, you will burn the amp up. it is loud and clear at 75mph on the freeway. Cost is $299

About the only way I would consider it. Drill holes in the guard to run the wires through. I went through great time and money to keep everything concealed. Just don't think I could do it without a fairing. Now with apes going on this week, forget about it....

I hope this thread continues. I'm kicking myself for not asking a dealer in VA (not sure which) when I saw softail with a really nice setup. It wasn't speakers mounted to the bars rather an entire setup that "flowed" with the attached windshield. It looked like it belonged. Wife never showed interest in tunes on her fatboy until now. Would like to find that setup.
