I did the CycleSound system with amp and 200 watt four in speakers. Mounted bullet style speakers on the guard bars aimed up towards the driver/passenger. Works great off the IPod or you can put your phone sounds/gps on it also. Little costly at 499.00 but sounds good and you can hear it at 70. Clean set up with amp on between the handle bars and windshield as well as your IPod/Phone/or GPS mount. Windshield can be removed and everything remains in place.

There's a bike shop in Denver called True Kustoms that installs subwoofers in the saddlebags. It's a bit pricey, but looks pretty awesome!!!!

Sounds like many options. The handlebar mounts can be placed on your engine bar but not recommended. Stop in at an HD dealer and hook up your MP3 player to them and see for yourself. That is the one place you can actually test it before you buy and hate yourself the next morning for making a bad choice.

I have Uniq Cycle Sounds set up on mine. I have the amp velcrowed to the inside front of the bag and the speakers mounted to the crash bar. I also added a different inline volume control from Koss that I mounted under the right side of the seat so I can reach down and adjust the volume. I just use my phone or ipod (in my pocket) and use an 8mm male to male cord. One goes into the listening device and the other end plugs into jack under my seat. I can clearly hear the music up to about 45-50 mph without the windshield. With the windshield I can hear it up to 60-65.Works great in my opinion and is way louder than any stock harley system.

Rumble Road Ultras change out the RCA speaker for some Polk DXI 400's. I use a Zumo 660 for satalite radio, but an ipod does just fine too.
