Default What oil temps do you guys normally see?

My bike has an oil cooler and an electric oil temp gauge. The sending unit is on the block next to the pressure gauge. Today I had a pretty hard ride on I95 and my oil temp was only 141 when I was done. Seems too cool to me based on my Vette experience.

Edit - this is a 1995 Harley with an EVO engine.

Here is my cooler. I wonder if my cooler is bigger than it needs to be. I have a flow control at the bottom as you can see...but I'm not sure what temps are "normal" for an Evo air cooled engine.

Hence my question. Appreciate the responses.

Your oil is not 141F. Based on your sender location my guess is its not reading the oil stream. You need to move that sender to the pan for an accurate reading.
Post a pic of the plumbing where the sender is now.

Yep, I'm in the 220's with normal highway riding. Seen 230's with a lot of stop/start riding.

Been seeing 0 (zero) too much here lately but once I pegged it at like 350!

Normally 180 - 240.

I dont have a guage for oil temp for the same reason, I would be obsessing over it. The oil is hot thats all I can tell ya. Put an oil cooler on it and dont worry about it.

Most of the time I see 220-230F depending on ambient temperature at highway speeds after Jagg 10 row, stage I install and cat removal.
