Default Windshields for the vented batwing 2014's

Has anyone bought and installed an after market windshield for their vented bike? I'm just wondering if the wind shield companies are RD'ing them enough to compliment the venting theory or are they just moving the mounting holes around on previous designs. I had a long ride shields "flat top" on my previous ride and loved it. Just wondering what y'all are experiencing out there.

I'm looking into getting a LRS but don't know if I need the 7' or the 8'. My stock windshield on my 2014 street glide is fine until I get to 70 mph. Then my glasses are all over the place. I went to my local dealer to try and demo the 7 inch wind splitter but they don't have them in yet for the 2014's. I've been hearing great reviews on the LRS shields.

Yes SafetyMan, a 7 or 8 Foot windshield may look a little disproportionate on a 3 Foot tall scoot. Good catch...

You don't get bugs and rocks peppering you with these short wind shields? I know it's nice to have them out of the line of site, but it just seems like you'd get pelted a bunch.

I noticed that Windvest now has their windshield available for the 2014.

Anyone tried one yet?

Default wind on 14 SG

Bought the 12" clear shield. Love it.
At 85mph feels great. Rode to Florida and also put on fork and mid air deflectors.
the 12" shield still fits in my cycle shed.

Are the HD branded wind splitter screens polycarbonate?
