Fob fits nicely in the watch pocket of my jeans. even with the key attached
Ditto, but so I do not have to pull it out, I carry the spare key attached to my house key in my pocket. Easier to pull out to do a quick lock or unlock when on the road. The fob and key set stays put in my watch pocket.
I also carry a spare battery for the security fob in the windshield bag. Needed it once, even though I remembered my security code. Oh, when using the security code...don't move the bike, don't even sit on it. Just reach over, push them both, plug in your code and go.
If you have not changed your security code, do so. I went over and started a brand new 2013 Road Glide Ultra much to the surprise of the owner who said I couldn't. He had the deflault code still in it. Our dealer uses.#.... well you know the game. If you have not reprogramed yours, now is not to soon.
Sometimes we think things to death ... It's a security device, right? On the road with Ol' Gal she's got one and I've got one clipped on the belt ... Out on my own the second one is always on the dresser and the code ( yes there is a code to defeat the system. If you haven't changed the code to your own number you're asking for trouble.) is tattooed inside my left eyelid. What could be simpler?
Left eyelid, you say. I wish I had thought of that before I tattooed my 5 digit security code on my, well, you know. I've only had to use the security once and it was colder than hell outside. Needless to say, I had trouble reading the whole number.

The default code from the factory is the last 5 digits of your VIN.
When I got mine the code was 11111. Apparently the dealer changed it? Reading some posts indicate that everybody should practice the override procedure before it is needed. And reset the code to a number they won't forget.
When dealer married fob to my bike they asked what code I wanted. When they were done they showed me how to override and I learned right then. Pretty easy actually. I have done it numerous times when in garage and fob was in the house. Oh yea, fob with key attached to it goes in right front pocket unless I'm riding to work then it rides in my lunch cooler.
