Which V&H head pipes did you put on? Power Duals or Dresser Duals?

Default fuel moto

I bought in to all that Fuel Moto crap a couple of years ago. A 107 motor getting 116hp and 120 something torque. I did the total pkg bore kit, heads polished, header pipe, exhaust pipes, thunder max(which came with a stock/standard program) etc., etc. The numbers were no where close to what they advertise. Fuel Moto kept telling me it was an install or tune problem. After taking the bike to several shops to diagnose (even one Fuel Moto recommended), check tuning and all that. it was determined all was done correctly. The only thing wrong was the advertised numbers. Every shop laughed at idea of 107 getting that good of numbers. However last year I ripped off Fuel Moto header pipe and exhaust, put Rinehart true duals on and got an instant 12 hp and 8-10 torque. That being said the header pipe is the restriction cat or no cat

Has anyone heard about the BUB Seven Cat Mufflers with BUB TDX Headers? They claim to work well and their EPA sound compliant as well as California Emission compliant. Great looking system too. I have been thinking about the system for my 2014 Limited. I want to stay "legal" this time but want a little more sound over my stock system. Actually happy with the power of my bike stock.

I don't think I'll ever feel the difference. But, it would be interesting to see dyno comparisons. Still, I don't think I'd miss a few ft/lbs of torque or a couple of horses.
+1 on that, d-streetglidr.

I got my de-catted header from Ebay, too (bobvic2). I liked the way he did the job (cut-out & re-weld). My SG now performs better, runs cooler and sounds great, all for only $135!

Unless you're planning major performance upgrades (Stage 2, 3 or 4), then a stock, de-catted header is all that a typical rider really needs.

To each his own...

By the way, I LOVE the color on that SG. VERY nice!

I was running a stock catless '09 header. Got a deal on a used Fullsack Xpipe. I was not expecting much difference but lost alot of heat and picked up some power making 6th gear much more useable. I was extremely surprised with the difference just the header made. Your results may differ?

I wasted my time doing it the cheap way .
Notice hanging on the wall left side so yes I have been there done that .
Even with a tune the removing the Cats from stock headers results in a loss of torque and no tune will fix that. Even if you keep stock pipes. HD had to free up the stock exhaust a bit to make up for the restriction of the Cats.
Going with a good Header like 2-1-2 bike tunes better and easier and you get the torque it should have.
Wait save the cash do it right your bike will tahnk you
Stock headpipe decatted, TQ 109. Have seen similar # with TW-222 cams with the $500 headpipes.

RUSH Racing also makes ceramic coated inside and out headpipes.

I had one small issue with a heat shield, and their customer service was ALL OVER it, I was a very happy customer.

I'm going back with them, most likely.

I need to get some of my stuff on eBay....

Since everyone is chiming in, any comments on the Drago's 2-1 exhaust?

I have been very happy with the Cobra Power Port head pipe. Its a nice looking and good performing pipe with a hidden power port crossover and it just a little over $300.00.

I concur on the stock decatted head pipes. I also bought mine on ebay for $120and absolutely love them, reduced heat, WAY better sound and quicker throttle response. I have not noticed any reduction in power or torque, if anything I feel there is more of each.... Save your money and do it this way.
