Default To Dyno or Not to Dyno? That is the Question?

I have a 2013 Limited, Stage 1 AC, Fulsac headpipes , Rinehart 4" slip-ons and Power Commander V.

Do I need to have it Dyno tuned? I am not a real "performance" guy and not having any issues with the bike. I just want to make sure I am getting the most out of the add-ons.

Where did you get the PC-V from?

Even if you didnt get it from Fuel Moto, if you *call* them, they will likely supply a map for your combination for no money. Skip the Dyno, and see how it runs.

If you want to make sure your "getting the most" out of your add ons, then yes, have it tuned.

Yeah, just call Fuel Moto - http://www.fuelmotousa.com/ (not very responsive on email, but they answer the phone)

I'm sure they will help you, they are that kind of company.

I had gotten my bike dynod after a couple of long rides (500-1500mi each). I added stage one intake, rhinehart 4" true duals, and PVCIII. PVC had been pre-set by eastern performance. Anyways when i got it dynod the preset program was pretty spot on however with the tweaks made by the tech it improved my milage and a little more performance. So was it worth the $250 to me yes. every bike is slightly different so a base map can get you very close, if you are ok with that don't go to the dyne. If you want it spot on to your bike then do it.

If I were stuck with the PCV, I would definitely plan to have it dyno tuned at some point. I haven't had a dyno tune but did run a PCV (FM supplied) for a few months this summer while Rev Perf was sorting out their ECM programming issues. The difference between the Autotuning Rev Perf and the PCV was night and day on my bike. I think we're leaving a lot on the table by not dyno tuning any system that doesn't auto tune.

I switched from sert with a dealer map to TTS with a Dyno Tune. For a stock 103 with just a pipe and air cleaner swap, she runs great.

Plus one, using a reputable tuner operator will confirm this...........
