To Dyno or Not to Dyno? That is the Question?
#11
A 'tune' on the dyno is not worth the $$$ if the operator does not know what he is doing! Big dealerships may have a dyno and a guy who has had a 3 hours course online as to how to do a tune! Chances are, you'll be no closer than you are right now with your canned map...but you'll have a dyno sheet! ;-)
However...a dyno in the hands of a guy who knows what he is doing...priceless!
Look at tuners in your area...talk to other riders who have used him and find out how happy they are after dropping a bunch on their tune. Word of mouth advertising is pretty good when it comes to a tuner...and that works both ways...both good and bad tuners! Don't be afraid to make an appointment and travel a couple of hundred miles to get to that special tuner!
Good luck!
