How many fob you have with a 2007 security system???.I only receive 1 fob with the new bike.My friend just receive is new bike and he got 2 fob.I call the dealer back and he said only 1 fob come with the security system. You have to pay to get a second one
If installed at the factory it comes with 2, if you had it added by dealer, check in the harley catalog it should list how many fobs come with the kit but I think it is also 2.

GR
I have the factory and it came with two.

I thought the same thing about the FOB arming. I had one hanging on the wall right next to the bike to prevent any accidential trips while I was working on it. I took the other fob and put in in the interior breast pocket of my vest that I always wear. I also have a jacket and did the same with that. I only wear one or the other so both have a fob in the pocket and I never take it out. I just hang the vest on the wall in the garage next to the bike within a few feet. I would never leave a fob on the bike. Just an idea for ya.

I think and maybe its dumb, but I kinda thought if somebody jumped on your bike( with you close by) or say jacked you at a red light. Then sped off with your bike ( fob in the riders pocket)the security system would kill the bike when it got out of the fobs range.( unless he jacked mine, and I would shoot him before he was out of site) I think this is how it should work, but guess not.

Not dumb at all and probably should have been programed into the designmuch like a fuel theft cut off switch in a car. Its a good idea and probably would not take much to program it to kill the fuel pump after 15 ft or so that way you dont get blood spatter all over you from blasting the thug that just took your bike!

gunrunner, I thought initially the same way as you. But could u imagine the lawsuits, if the battery died on your key fob and you lost power at a real in oportune time? Not good.

Be careful what you wish for.BMW has an integrated immobilizer system in their newer bikes and from time to time these systems will malfunction - rendering the bike inoperable. Or imagine this scenario... You're tooling down the road, going into a turn and all of sudden the FOB or the alarm system take a crap - shutting down the engine. Ouch.
