Recently installed headed grips on an 08 FLTCU. No adhesives required and none called for in the service manual.

I have a full golf club repair shop in my garage so I know what you are saying. I did the club grip method on a couple pairs of grips that were rubber underneath with marginal success. Rubber cycle grips must be made of a different compound than club grips. I used my wife's super dooper pooper scooper hold hairspray on my last couple of cycle grips and it worked great. I used to use this method on my ATV grips as well.

I had to go that route to keep my left Kuryakyn ISO grip on. Kept coming off, now it's on for good.
