Saw in another thread a Akoury helmet out of Canada, seems it looks exactly like the Outlaw Carbon Fiber units save having a quick disconnect latch on the chin strap. Same DOT label to the rear too.

I got the letter, sent it to the trash, kept the lids for me and the wife. The lids have DOT labeling, were classified as DOT to sell when I bought them, too bad on the recall as they won't be going back Had gotten a funny feeling when they got scarce, had ours already but got to looking around then they cancelled the AX-xxxxx series, then came the TG-xxxxx series, same lids, bought spares and now they are history too.

Just got mine from leatherup in June, no email yet. I just keep it as a spare in the bag for balbusting cops or passengers. I live in a helmet law state and i run a novelty helmet, no hassles yet though.

I hadn't heard about this. I will continue to let it sit next to my ACC helmet that was recalled, both brand new never been worn. I think I will start a collection.

Default Yaba Daba Doo

I also received a recall notice on my Carbon Fiber Low Profile. Like an idiot, I sent my helmet back and opted for the "new and improved" model. What I got back would have made the Great Gazoo envious of my mushroom head. All it was missing were the two antenna stubs on top. Wish I kept the original helmet and took my chances. Live and learn.

Agree with others, wish I kept mine to. Also got the recall, sent back for the new one but when I got the new one the sizing was much different. Keep in mind I have a mellon for a head, XXL . New one would not even fit so sent back for my $$ back and did get that less taxes. Opted for the Akoury which I like as it is also low profile however it is a bit snug on the sides for the mellon. If I had to do it again would have kept the original outlaw.

ps: I always considered "Outlaw" to be an oxymoronic brand name for a helmet.

Default Outlaw Helmet Recall

I got my reply Email and a FedEx shipping label so I shipped it out today.
The Email says they will "Put the check in the mail" approximately 10 days from receiving it.
Mine was the Matt finish carbon fiber 1/2 helmet that was xxl but was still to small so I was glad to send it back. I really liked the looks but did not like the fit.I wish that they made a xxxl but I don't think that they do.
I have a 1/2 SkidLid, and a Harley 1/2 helmets but they give you the Mushroom head look.
If anyone knows of a 1/2 helmet that looks like the Outlaw but comes in an XXXL let me know.
Roll safe !
