Noise from Rocker Box area....
The particulars are: I have a 2012 Road Glide, 103ci. Installed the Woods TW-222 cams this weekend.
I feel fairly confident that I did a good job, as I was methodical at every step of the way. However, I hear an occasional knock coming from the rocker box area. It IS intermittent, and it's definitely not coming from the pushrods; it's up in the top end of the motor. At least it's not the consistent "tap tap tap" that would come from loose pushrods, I'm fairly certain. I've heard that, and it's not that high pitched nor is it consistent. Sounds like rocker arms to me, though I'm not sure.
Question is: Is some intermittent knocking from the rocker box area to be expected with a cam change like the one that I chose?
You input is appreciated.

Reversion
I have the Woods 222's installed as well and have that " knock" from the AC area. I have been told that it is reversion due to the cam overlap. I have 2000 miles on the set up now and all the noises stall the same. My Road King still has the sametop end noise as before the swap in addition to the AC noise at idle and when lightly giving it fuel.

Ehhhh, how many miles are on the bike ? It has roller rockers, but there may be some slop in them, causing them to be just a tad egg shaped. Only a few thousands of an inch, with a more aggressive cam could IMO cause the rocker to bounce (for lack of a better word) and make a slight tapping sound. If by chance you bought the cams from Fuel Moto, call and ask their opinion. Good luck !
