Default Carlini 16" flying apes on a road king

I have spent hours looking through the posts and can not find an answer to 2 questions,I just purchased a set of Carlini 16" apes for my 2012 Harley road king, question 1, I have measured a dozen different ways and I come up with different measurements on the clutch and brake cable extensions,my question is why can't I just take the height difference in bars, the stock bars are 7 1/2" high, the carlini 16"flying apes are 17 1/2" high,If I order clutch and upper brake cables with +10" shouldn't that work? no bar manufacture wants to even give me any advice,so I am asking anyone that has this same setup.Question 2.It is a pain to adjust the handlebars,so I want to use external risers,if I use a street slammer handlebar cover Harley #55876-10 0r 55854-07 what is the lowest riser I can use,has anyone done this with 2"risers.thankyou for any help

I had orderd the Caralini Menace apes 16inch. Yes I was having the same issue with Caralini not wanting to give the additional lenghts I would need for my bars. Did alot of research and went with Magnum shielding chromite 2 cables. But I still didn't know how much longer cables I needed. I called Magnum shielding talked to a nice lady Mariah I think so put me in touch with a bike builder in Houston, TX. Called him up and he told me 10inches over stock on all cables. Sorry I don't remember the name of the shop. So give Magnum shielding a call if you are ordering cables from them nice folks and great products. Oh Caralini of course wanted me to order my cables thru them but didn't like the manufacturer they used. Hope this helps

I just waited till I got the bars and put them on the risers,it turned out to be 12" over,I am disappointed with the magnum shield cables because they scuff too easy,I put Harley cables on my 2005 springer,I am way happier with Harley cables.

Stock risers are almost 2",no problem. 10" should be fine, but i'd go at least 15" on wiring if done internally.

I had 16" Carlini Gansters and I went +8" on all lines and +12" on the electrical and it worked out great for me.
