July 28 2014 is my day. I have yet to take mine in for anything besides the cigarette lighter falling out. I figure, it can make whatever noises it wants to, if it grenades...it's under warranty. If it lasts two years of hard riding...and a lot of it...I'm pretty sure I'm in the clear.

if you think you have a real problem which should be covered under warranty- document each communication you have with the dealer.
HIRE an independent to assess the situation.
the dealer has no reason to cover up a problem for H-D, they get paid for warranty services provided.
the above Rider has pretty much the same attitude as me, leave it "stock" so warranty compliant- and ride it like heck for the first 2 years. after that do all the mods you want, it's yours.
I have no way of knowing what the bike is doing, or the owner's experience. So don't take this personally- as we have seen owners complain bitterly on this forum about all kinds of things from lack of weather protection, bugs in the teeth to crappy handling when the tires have 7 psi air

I think it's kinda like the 'how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop'
