Rinehart 4" slip ons - to dyno or not to dyno

I put a set of Rineharts 4" Slip On's on my 2012 Electra Glide in early summer. Just came back from a 5800 mile trip out West. Bike ran fine with no problems, bike is stock. I had concerns at first even after Rinehart said that a dyno wasn't needed. However they are in business to sell their products so I called three local dealers and asked that question to their service managers. I was assured, no problem, I know all three service managers personally and felt much better after I was told no dyno needed.

I have had my Rinehart 4" slipons on for over 15000 miles. I've even added a Fullsac X-Pipes head pipe and PCV with AT and an SE Heavy Breather. No dyno and she runs great. In your situation you do not need to run a dyno. If you do mods to the motor such as cams or high flow heads is when it becomes more waranted. Any other time just changing pipes, tuner, and AC a good canned map is all that is needed. A dyno tune would only serve to maximize your tune for either HP/Torque or fuel efficiency.

I've had them on my past two bikes. No problems what so ever. As I'm sure you saw on the Rinehart web site it states" *Do not adjust stock ECU settings with Rinehart slip-ons on 2009-2012 H-D Touring models with stock head pipes.* From what I understand is these 4" are designed and tuned to work with the CAT in the head pipe from 2009 on.
IMO these are the best sounding pipes for our tour bikes. They have a great look as well as a fantastic sound. I'm sure you will be very happy with them.
