Default Installed FM 2/1/2 and x-over...shift popping

Love the sound and the added performance. I also love the fact that there is a significant heat reduciton! I went with the ceramic coated pipes.

Took it out for a 300kilo HOG ride and noticed a distinctive pop when shifting between 1st-2nd and 2nd-3rd. It would only happen around 3000rpm or higher. If I shifted sooner it would not be noticeable or not there. Any help?

I'm currently running the map from FM on the Power Vision. I have not had a chance to do an Autotune run yet. On the road for the next few days.

I'd love to read some thoughts from others. I have been reading up on it a bit. I did not find any exhaust leaks, but that's not to say there isn't one. But I tightened and sealed everything pretty good.

As others have mentioned in the past, the FM 2/1/2 are quality built. Great craftsmanship. The heat shields are not a perfect fit, but they are close. And I'm definitely getting more airflow to the left side now with the full sized x-over.

Try adding fuel on decel. Decel enleanment item in tune. Make number smaller to add fuel. I think I started subtracting .20 from each area.

I have cams and a map from Fuel moto and im using auto tune and mine still pops, but only above 3000 like yours. I chalked it up to the characteristics of the cam. Gurgling and slight pops and such are normal. Now when its popping excessively and doing it all across the rpm range, then you have a problem.

Click on the PV Basics document link in my signature. There is a section in there on how to change the fuel map to eliminate the decel popping.

Appreciate the heads up on the link. I'll see what I can do and report back.

Cheers
