I will check the grip, but I think it is ok because when you pull back for throttle there is nothing, but when you release the grip it rolls back forward. I will check the plug to make sure I didn't cross the wires up. Thanks for all the help I will let everyone know what the issue is as soon as I find out.

I'm sure it's gotta be throwing codes too.

Yes the check engine light came on, but I haven't had a chance to check the codes cause I work out of town. I'm hoping I just crossed the wires up at the final connector,That will be an easy fix. But the way my luck goes that won't be the case. Will check it out Sayurday when I get home. Thanks again for all the help.

One more question.....you stated that you broke the green plug, did you make sure to connect the correct 3 wires to the yellow bundle and the black bundle?

Thats funny you ask. I double checked the wires before pulling them through, but now am second guessing myself. I think the problem lies with either wires being crossed pin connector, a broken wire, or what you have mentioned, that I soldered the wrong wires together. I am hoping that it is option number 1 cause that will be an easy fix.

I hope that's it too. Otherwise you know what the next move is. If by chance you didn't take notes, I can get you the color codes for each bundle.

Well I couldn't stand my bike being broke so I wen't home Monday night and trailered it back to where I'm working. Checked all the connections and everything was wired up the correct way. Pulled the wiring back out and found no breaks or nicked insulation. Went to HD and purchased a new TBW harness without the green plug, re-installed and everything works fine. So I guess I must have messed up the twist grip sensor while installing the first time, or when I broke the little green "monster" soldering the wiring back together didn't work. Thanks again everyone for your help

Looking back at your old twist grip, did you remove the yellow and black sheath from each 3 wire bundle? I still think you have some wires crossed where you soldered the TBW harness back together. I know you've done replaced all of that but just for the sake of knowing I'd recheck it. Those twist grips aren't as fragile as everyone makes out. Trust me as bad as I banged on mine it should've broken but didn't.

No I left them on there. I had from the yellow sheath red to red, black to grey, and white to purple. Black sheath red to brown, black to black, and white to blue.

Glad to hear you got it going. Still puzzles me on the twist grip being bad. The first time I wired my bars I had put the wires in the wrong location in the molex connector and didn't realize it. I yanked on the twist grip so hard trying to pull the wiring back out cause I figured it was the green plug. Surprised I didn't tear the wires off of it I was yanking on it so hard. 2 yrs later and it still works fine. That's why I say they're not that fragile.
