Default Air Cleaner Cover: 29153-07, 61300120 or 29138-91A?

Having a Fuel Moto Stage 1 air cleaner, my two (2) requirements for choosing an air filter cover which will replace my stock football cover are:

First, it must cover the depth of the filter element (so that the element is not exposed below the cover).

Second, there must be a gap between the filter element and the side wall of the cover, to allow free air flow.

A cutaway in the side wall would be preferred, but is not required.

I have narrowed my choices to three (3) H-D covers:
  1. Smooth Air Cleaner Cover (29153-07), 8-inch, cutaway, $49.95
  2. Bobber-Style Round Cover (61300120), 8-inch, cutaway, $54.95
  3. Nostalgic Bar & Shield Cover (29138-91A), 8-inch, no cutaway, $69.95

Does anyone have one of these covers? How do you like it?

Your input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have the Bobber style round work great & at a good price a lot smaller than the football easy to put on & take off with the one allen bolt.

Doesn't look like the Nostalgic 29138-91a will fit your 2011 SG you might want to check it out before you buy a cover.

Depth is key, so this is cool to know. Thanks.

The Nostalgic Bar & Shield cover is actually my least favorite of the three.

...any of those may leave your servo plug exposed- you have a plan for that?

91A will likely have a cut out top center for the carb.

They all go on and come off with one bolt, but the Bobber-Style cover is a bit more stylish than the Smooth cover. I'll have to ride down to the dealership and check them out. Thanks.

I did read your other forum post re: coverage of the servo plug area, Mike. Not really an issue for me.

Regarding cover 29138-91A, the H-D web-site does not mention a cutout in the description, whereas there IS specific mention of a cutout for the other two covers on my list.

What about S&S Airstream? See sig pic. I've since changed to a cobra for cool air, but do like the look of the S&S better.
