Default Best cam for stock 103

I purchase a 14 S/G/S a few weeks ago and added V&H 2-1-2 exhaust and SE intake and sert. Base map was installed. I have around 1k on the bike so far and Im bored with the power.
I traded in a 12 S/G with same exhaust, intake, power commander and se204 cams, I like the mid range it had.
Needless to say Im ready to put cams in this one. Im not sure which cam to go with, I like mid range power, I usually don't have a passenger. The 204's pulled great, but is there something better since the 204's have been around awhile and they did have a little chatter around 2000 rpm.

Also is there a specific cam that tunes easier than others?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Se 204 or the woods 555 is gonna be your best bet for mid range and getting tuned. Actually your best bet would be to ditch that factory dealer tune and go with a power commander. The maps are in abundance and have been tweaked and all the bugs worked out. Give fuel moto a call and go with their recommendations. I went with them for my tune for my "secret" cam and the map was perfect. Good luck.

I didn't realize that until after the sert box was opened...I should have done more research before my purchase, needless to say, I will try and find someone in my area that can tune it properly....wish me luck! I understand that there are no maps for the 204 and have to find someone with the proper skills and patience to get It tuned.

Andrews 57 was designed for 103 baggers. Getting great numbers. Ought to work great with extra compression on '14s.

Fuel moto has maps for the 204 in a 103. Also, call dynojet. They have maps for it too. Me personally, I just dont trust dealers. They mostly tune to the best numbers and not the best running engine which leads to problems with heat and ping. Go with what works my friend. Same cost or cheaper than a dyno session if you go with a power commander v. And the added security of knowing its right is priceless.

I do not think a PCV will fit the 14 models. Plugs are different on the ECM. They haven't released the firmware for the Power Vision yet. The SEPST will work and they have the maps ready for it. They are using a 614 strategy in 14. The only map they have for SG with cam is the SE259E. They do have one for a Stage 1 also. The data plug for the tuner to plug into is a 6 pin. last year was 4 pin.

Those 204s work very well as drop in cams for the 103s. You might find a cam that's better in one area or another, but there's a reason guys keep coming back to those 204s. Andrews 57s if you pull the heads and bump the compression with thinner head gaskets. If you just want to drop in a set of cams, 204s or Andrews 37s.

Did you mean SE 211 or SE 204. haven't seen a SE 214 E.
