Default oil light on engine won't start

As I am writing this post, I am stuck in a parking lot.
What should I do before calling AAA to tow it home.
Thanks for any help
Nick

The oil light will go off when there's oil pressure. A little more info might be more helpful, is it even cranking over?

That's what I was wondering, but I always hate to ask. Seen it happen many times.

Other than that, put the bike in gear, then neutral again and try to start it.

Thanks so much for all the suggestions!
I was so lucky that I found the problem (maybe), just before I was about to give up.
I apologize that I didn't post up enough info about the status of the bike at the time. The bike was crank but wouldn't start.
Somehow, with a ghost mind, I decided to replace the rear spark plug first and try again; it started right up.
So it must be two things, either the spark plug was dead or the cable was loose. Surprisingly, it gave em a bunch of error P codes, and it erased by itself after the bike started.
Anyway, I am home, and it is a good lesson to learn. I will replace both spark plugs this time.
Thanks again
Nick

When you say unlimited mileage, you've meant towing distance or something else?
I have 100 miles of towing distance with AAA, but if HOG is better then I may consider to change.
Thanks much for the info.
