I had progressive 944's on my old road king an the Harley premium on my new street glide. I much prefer the progressive over the HD.

Default $100 vs. $1000

The OP should be able to improve his ride within his price range.
I would forget the above "Please", and just do what you want to do.
May check out deals on a barely used set of your choice...
I was in the same quandary. I heard nothing but happy customers with Ohlin's #6 shock. Adjustable, soft yet firm.... But, I had rewards money from my local HD dealer... That sealed the deal for the 12" premiums. Now that I have had them for a month and put over 500 miles on them, I must say, I have no issues. No double bounce over pot holes, handling is wonderful and it only cost me $100. Look these shocks are standard on some higher end Street Glides, Road Glides and Electra Glides. I would ask them how they like their ride. Good luck.

On a side note, have you guys upgraded the front as well or are you still running the stock fork springs? I was thinking of doing that upgrade this winter but again am torn between the HD ones and the Progressive Monotube fork kit...
Ugraded front end too? You bet. HD 12" premiums on the rear and progressive 31-2500 on front, one clip. I love my SG now. Have no desire to upgrade scooter now.

I have tried Pro-Action, too stiff. I currently have Super Shox, installed today, so far I'm not liking them, also too stiff. See my review in the Super Shox thread.
I think the air shocks offer a smoother ride than both those brands.

That was issue with 944's to hard a hit on bumps no madder how they were set. The Air shocks on my 2016 are doing just fine so far.

Default Still have them?

Do you still have the premiums, how much do you want for them?

Just installed 13" 944's on my 17 SGS. They are great for me so far.
