Cvo engine power question
#41
Sounds to me like the previous engine was trashed and this was their sales pitch IMHO

Because Harley`s rep was at stake with one of their dealers selling a bike with a defective engine. Besides, I saw the repair order and what went into the bike. So, can you answer my original question?

My 04 fxdli had the 95 c.i.HTCC build with V&H 2-1 pro pipes on it She dyno'd at over 110 lbs torque ponys were up there to but she grenaded around 30,000 miles and only survived 2000 after a top end rebuild. Finally a competent mech showed me the discoloration on the crankcase and explained to me "harley's pressed crank's are going to fail" my understanding was they get pressed to tight causing even more heat that causes metal to fail. All technobabble to me, but I know I changed the oil in my bike when it looked spent which was 700 miles for reg 1200 SE and 1700mi for amsoil so I buy into the heat theroy. I still like to go fast so I let go of my dream girl and bought a liquid cooled Rocket 3 by Triumph. Back in the day they were the poor mans harley and when I consider how expensive it is to get my hd this fast and then KEEP it on the road Triump is still this poor mans choice.

people are always jealous of those that have more than them. they don't have it, and contrary to what they say, they want it. maybe they don't want the bike per se, but there is a perceived 'affluence' if you have a cvo.
in reality, my bike payment isn't really any more than someone who just bought a street glide off the street. start off small and work your way up. when you have a decent trade in which gets you 17k off the purchase price, it can be done. also, i'm driving a 2003 ford f150 thats been paid off for years. would i like a new truck? sure i would, but i don't need a new truck. i needed my 2013 cvo roadglide

`Could be, but that`s what they told me. I believe that everything is new. Even the battery is new with a date shown as 11/3/13. Besides, I bought a 5 year warranty, so if anything happens it`ll cost only $50. I still haven`t got an answer to my original question, as it appears that you`re interested only in finding fault with someone. If you can`t help me then STFU!
