Plus, when you trade you are paying for the convenience and security of not selling it privately. To an entity that will want to sell it to someone else for a profit.

YOU NEED TO WAKE UP A BIT? MY MATH IS FUNKY? Paid 27, 300.00 for the bike. And I put 10, 800 plus miles on a bike that I bought near the end of may. So dont tell me my math is funky.

Do not be offended by the"check your Math" dude , he sound sliek a car or bike sales man. What he forgot to mentione is the dealer likes to mark up used bikes for a Huge Profit, Alays love the "Re-Condition Costs" statement, its the $10.00 bike wash guy for 2 hours max. New cars, used cars, used bikes Porsche or Yugo, Harley or vespa they all use the same terms, and think we do not notice.

Bikes, vehicle's, are depreciating assets. Never an investment! Period!

They do expect and people will do it . I am keeping mine

Why did you pay $27,300 for a bike that is $24K?

If you tell me all the crap you had the dealer put on, forget it, its not part of the equation. Take the stuff off and sell it separately, it wont change your trade in value and you could recoup *some* of the *parts* cost (but of course not the labor).

Yes, wake up.

Curious - what month/year did you buy your '13, and how many miles when you traded?

Boy do they love customers like you. Impulse buyers with little or no self control. I guess if you have $$ to burn and need a new bike every year, more power to you. Just don't balk when you have to take the hit. And you will have to take the hit.....

I am done "trading" in bikes or cars/ trucks anymore. After trying to make a deal on my 1 year old Ultra and a 1 year old Toyota Pick up I now know it doesn't work. I am going to ride and drive them till the wheels fall off. I am done taking large hits on vehicles/ dealers fees and tax/ lic.

I dont have an ultra but my 11 street glide they offered me 14500 at 1 dealer and 17500 at another so there numbers are everywhere i think some dealers are just lowballing people to see if they bite once the new wears off the 14's the numbers will prob get better
