Default The Great Ape Search

So the last week or so I’ve been searching and searching for the perfect bagger apes. I’ve had Wild 1 bars on previous bikes. They’re great bars, but I’m looking for something a bit more unique. BR Customs are little too unique for me. I’m really digging Bad Dad’s 975 bagger bars. I like the 1.5” diameter but they look like the peaked bars that every company seems to have a version of, plus they’re bloody expensive. I also like the Carlini Menace Glide bars, but I can’t find a single picture of what they look like on a batwing bagger.

The search goes on….

You could always call BR and talk to them about getting some one offs built. It be pricey but guaranteed to be exactly what you want and definitely one of a kind.

BR's 1.5" bent ape beaters. They'll make them to your exact specifications. Might have to wait for a few weeks to get them, but it shouldn't be much more expensive than a lot of other alternatives.

Take a look at Torch Industries.

I love my Monkey's. I guess "every company seems to have a version", but that doesn't make them any less perfect. If you take all the peaked bars out of the equation isn't everything that is left really just a version of themselves?

Actually there is another pretty original bar out there: John Shope with Sinister...or Dirty Bird...or whatever he is called now has some originals like nothing I've seen.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm taking a second look at those BR Bent Ape Beaters. I also kinda like the look of the LA Choppers Twin Peaks bagger bar. Any comment on LA Choppers quality?

Take a look at Vindikta. They are a small shop out in California and they do some pretty awesome 1.5" bars. I'm still not quite there financially but when i'm ready, they are on the top of my list.
