Default 2014 touring steering head adjustment

Hey new member here with a question. I have service manuals on order from the dealer with no time frame of when they will arrive. My question does anyone know the specs of the the new steering head as far as adjustment and checking it, and what adjusting the steering head involves? Thanks much.

I dont think there is any maint or adjustment anymore. You run it 30000 miles, and have it overhauled.

It has to be dismantled at 25,000 for service and there is a new procedure for what used to be called the swing test. There is no Zerk fitting anymore for grease.

if you can find the dealer presentation slide show, the new swing test is demonstrated.

I can't see why you will need to adjust your steering head bearings before your books arrive! If you do, you can take your bike to the dealer. 2014 models have a different set of head bearings so setting them up correctly may be different to previous models. Ride and enjoy - think of those of us who can't afford to buy a nice new bike!

Just curious, why would you want to do that on a brand new bike?
