I am using a Griffin USB adapter to supply power to my Garmin GPS
Read more here: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...gps-mount.html

Cigarette Lighter to USB adapter

This adapter mounts flush with the fairing surface.
The setup I used will NOT hit the fuel tank. Full lock left to full lock right, no interference.

I got mine from JP it is hard wired to the battery(with inline fuse). Its hands down one of the most useful upgrades I've done! I charge my shuffle, phone etc. Its great.

Either of these two part numbers plug into the AUX switch under the seat. I also bought a splitter from HD so I would still have the AUX power available for other things as needed.

before you go plugging in something to your cig lighter, you might want to make sure that it is hooked up properly. there have been more than a few instances where the factory has hooked them up backwards. the center should be the hot (+), while the outer ring is the ground. if not, you could (as some have done) fry your electronic gizmo that you want to plug in.

Vigilante (the Super Chips folks) was handing out the USB adapters that plug into the lighter port in the fairing for free at Black Hills HD during Sturgis. You can get them for about $10 at most stores.

I snagged two as did my sons. They also handed out T-shirts, SS beer bottle openers, and several other items. They were selling and installing their Super Chips tuners for HD's for $150. The units are retail at $399. You operated them with your android or other phone.
