Default Moving oil cooler

I have a 2011 FLHP with the 103 cid engine, so I have an oil cooler on top of the voltage regulator

I was on cycle electrics site looking at their stator/rotor kits, and they mentioned that one of their kits allows the regulator to be mounted higher on the fork so the oil cooler is not on top of it

I am interested in your opinion concerning the possible damage the heat from the oil cooler can cause to the voltage regulator.

Is this a real problem, or is this a solution to an issue that doesn't exist?

Thanks
Steve

I know Harley's been mounting the coolers here for years without issue. I'd think moving the voltage regulator is just a gimmick for making money. Maybe someone else has experience to draw from but I've never heard of an issue.
