Default AHHHH Just what the Doctor Ordered

It's kind of weird, but this riding season has had many rides, but very few rides alone (I like riding by myself sometimes - clears the noggin) Seems like all of my riding partners all got new bikes this year, plus reading all of the posts on the new 14's has me wanting.

But a nice long ride all by my lonesome made me realize how much I still love my old 06 (really not that old). The bike runs great, and still clears my head - what else do I need.

We don't "need" anything else, we just "want". It's H-D's job to build motorcycles that we can't resist, so we start lookin' and thinkin'. The next thing ya know we're talking to the dealer and end up doin' the deal. H-D is banking on it.

This is what it's all about - nice to have a new bike, but our "old friends" are hard to replace.
I just got off my bike after a 200 mile ride around So Cal, and it just confirmed to me that I love my 09 SG, I've made it mine, nursed it through its troubles and it rewards me every time I get on it. Clears my head and i am in an much better mood when I get off. Happy with what I have!

New bikes are nice, I get it-totally, but each time I walk into my garage my old horse looks at me and I smile!

Ride safe buddy!!!

A super nice evening on a quiet back road with the tunes turned down and the pipes whispering and the sun glistens on the scooter you just finished detailing ... What could be better? It damn sure doesn't have to be a new scooter to supply therapy for the soul!

Took out big red for a great ride this morning on the back roads with GF...cool, crisp with bright blue sky. And then again late afternoon. The "ol 08 UC" was purring like a kitten. PRICELESS!

I hear ya brother, for me there is no better therapy than riding alone. Sometimes my friends don't always understand but there are times when I just want to ride on my on.

Hell yeah boys. Solitude on a back road with your bike is priceless.
