That is a good thought...I kept going to the different oil pan that we'd notch out in the back to allow the 2009 and later cross over exhaust pipe. But, again, the old oil pan ran from 2007-2008 year models. In 2009 till now, the new pan has existed. So, very good thought on the hydraulic clutch setup neededing less trans. fluid. But, per MoCo shop manual spec., 28oz has always been required in 2009 and later FL 6spd transmissions. With the new service procedure, so they really mean 28oz now? Also, checked on the dipstick lengths. They 're the same lengths.
