That is the main reson I purchased a GPS for my bike. I have been is areas that I did not know if I was going to find a station before I ran out. Now I just push find fuel and I now know where the next fuel stop will be.
Cool that the new bikes will do that.

Yeah, the gauge said I had like 29 miles to reserve. I filled up the other day with 15 miles to reserve and put just over 5 gallons in. Which is what I put in this time. I also reset my trip meter so I know at around the 220 mile mark I'm gonna be looking for gas. I have found the gas gauge to be somewhat accurate in that when it hits E, you are on the gallon or so of reserve.

Thanks Steve! I'm sure the OL will like it too, when the new seat gets here. She's not a fan of the OEM seat. LOL!!
And yeah, out there where you're at I'd probably carry gas. You could be 100 miles from the nearest gas when you're out on the plains. Beautiful country though. I lived in South Sioux City, NE for a few years. Many many moons ago. I reemember traveling to Vermillion for a football game. Once we got out of town there wasn't anything until we got to Vermillion HS, and it seemed to have been plopped down in the middle of a wheat field.
And although the "miles to empty" has been around a while, I thought the integration of the gas gauge to the GPS was pretty cool.
And Stew Pidaso.....ROFLMAO!!!!!!!
