For a complete set of screws, bolts, nuts, crash bar clamps, and 2 springs will run you about $125.

I'll go to Ace Hardware and get what I need.

ok I went back through the parts description and ordered only the following parts from LSHD1.com

2 3655A SCREW, PAN HEAD TORX @ $0.42 = $0.84 (#2 on drawing)
2 7415A WASHER, RUBBER @ $0.84 = $1.68 (#5 on drawing)
2 7576 NUT, FLANGE @ $0.84 = $1.68 (#6 on drawing)
4 7716 NUT, HEX FLANGE, FLHTC-UC @ $0.84 = $3.36 (#7 on drawing)
4 8175 BOLT, RETAINER @ $2.84 = $11.36 (#10 on drawing)
2 27048-84 CLAMP, CANNISTER @ $2.02 = $4.04 (#11 on drawing)
2 58104-05 COMPRESSION SPRING @ $4.50 = $9.00 (#12 on drawing)

Sub-Total: $31.96

Shipping: $9.99 (UPS)
Sales Tax: $0.00
lshd1 Total: $41.95

I don't think the screws part # 2995 (#1 in drawing) will be needed for speaker pods but if they are, screws are easy enough to find.

the local dealers around here man they won't cut you any slack whatsoever on parts prices.. And they wonder why their parts departments are always dead..

I got the better hardware at the hardware store too but if I was installing the vent doors I'd get the spring from HD.

Yes, you need those screws. Those are what hold the pods on.

Thanks for the list. But what brought your original quote to $125???

Also any way to get dimensions on some of the hardware that may be available at my local hardware store???

well i really don't know to be honest. called my trusty young lady in the parts department told her I needed all the bolts, nuts, washers, and clamps to assemble them less any parts for the vents and that's what she came back with.. i told her forget it...

I wish I had the dimensions cause I would have certainly done the same thing but the only thing I found on the web was contradictory information on this and other forums.. so I said screw it and ordered what I needed from LSHD1.com

**added**

I do recall her telling me the 4 retainer bolts (8175 above) were like 9.27 each

ok so the pods are screwed in via these screws to the fairing lower then the larger holes inside of the pod are for the nuts that clamp the cap and fairing together right?

Yes.

According to Ronnie's there are 10 of the smaller screws, I assume that is for both sides. I only remember 3 on each side holding the pods on. It's been awhile since I had them apart, I don't remember where the other 4 would go.
