Didn't take the bike out after the mod but they are still snug. I would guess you could tighten the bolt to get the right balance of tightness/movability..

Be careful tightening too much as that will cause the plastic to split.

Of course! That spring thingy that goes on top has some play in it. If you try what I did, you'll find that you don't have to really torque it down...

Mine wasn't very tight, but the plastic is alot cheaper and thinner than HD. I kinda like the ratchet of the stock style. When I changed the vent door the play in the setup went away.

the local dealers around here man they won't cut you any slack whatsoever on parts prices.. And they wonder why their parts departments are always dead..

Ok getting ready to order my lowers so I am revisiting this thread. I was seeing your list of parts ordered to replace what comes with the lowers. I also pulled the microfinch. Is there a reason you didn't order these....
