Just out of curiosity... but how muchstuff do you own that says "harley" on it other than the bike.

Personally, I only own about 20 dealer shirts, a small sticker for my truck and a really small sticker on my hardhat at work.

Besides the bike I own an HD half helmet and an HD jacket. I also have a few t-shirts that I pick up when I ride to different dealerships, but beyondthat nothing. I probably wouldn't own the jacket but it was thrown in on the deal and I didn't pay a dime for it.

 

I've toured through 33 states and have accumulated about 100 SS dealer tee shirts, but have stopped the uncontrolled flow and started buying LS tees instead. With HD gear I buy based on quality and price, so when I buy HD it's almost always when on sale, or on Ebay. For example:

Gloves: Gerbing heated (same as HD, bought used), Olympia middleweight (bought from BMW dealer), no-name lightweight (from indy MC shop), HD light perforated (local dealer).
Jacket: HD, bought on Ebay for $200 ($425 list). Excellent jacket with vents, numerous pockets, and removeable liner. Good replacement for my old Hein-Gericke.
Chaps: Mail-order
Rain suit: HD jacket, Tourmaster rain pants, HD rain Gaiters
Boots: HD harness boots (2), one pair from dealer (now 10 years old and on their third pair of soles), another new pair on Ebay for $35 (a steal).
Helmet: 3/4 HD (on sale for 1/2 price at local dealer)
Pants: $14 Walmart jeans

You get the idea: Cheapskate, but quality is paramount. It's a triumphant feeling getting quality for a low price.

 

Just some shirts, no decals on the truck or anything like that. I did buy my baby granddaughter a HD outfit for this last Christmas.

 

I have several tee's from different dealers. HD3/4 helmet (gift), HD boots (gift also).

 

I've been riding Harleys since '93, and have a collection of the usual T-shirts, a couple of leather jackets and a couple of lighter weight jackets. A few other trinkets and collectable items. But it CAN and DOES get over-the-top, doesn't it? Soon we'll be able to buy outdoor furniture with the logo on it. Bedspreads, ceiling fans, jukeboxes, pool tables, bar stools, Ford trucks.......toilet paper at one time as I recall.
Point-of-purchase marketing at its pinnacle! Amazing what some folks will buy.

 

Besides the bike I have a boatload of delearship t-shirts and sweatshirts. Try to grab a shot glass and bumpersticker from every dealership I (or friends that travel) go into for the bar. Only reason I have a jacket is because the GF bought me one for X-Mas.

 

I'm sorry to say but I'm one of those goof-ball fanatics when it comes to Harley. I've got dozens and dozens of t-shirts while I got a closet full of jackets and other Harley clothing stuff. I even got a Harley tattoo on my right shoulder and my garage is full of Harley signs, calenders and other Harley things. If I go to a swap meet and see something Harley I end up leaving with it.
Keep in mind this all happened after I retired so it must be a chemical imbalance or somethin....[sm=confused06.gif]

My wife, god bless her soul, thinks I'm nuts but she lets me buywhat I want so this keeps me happy...[sm=Awwww.gif]

I am a poser. I have a ton of stuff. T-Shirts, a curio case full of miniatures, watches, beer and other collectables. I have 5 fine art HD prints by David Uhl. My mail box(Christmas gift from my Mother) is HD themed. I have a lot of HD tins in the garage as well as a HD wall clock. HD jacket, chaps, rainsuit.

Owning and riding HDs is a big part of my life and I have a lot of stuff that reflects that passion.
