When is it normal to rebuild an engine/ road king?

A 1997 with only 27k on it? My 2009 just turned 38k, runs great and uses no oil.

I definitely would ask if the motor was built at a shop or at home. If at a shop I would talk to them.

I would say when its burning oil or if its got over 100k. Just ride you'll know when its time.
