Default 2003 Ultra Classic Back rest question!

Gents! so i picked up my 03 Ultra Classic a few weeks ago and it did not have the factory back rest with it. I looked up the part number on Harley Davidsons website and this is the one that says it will work with the bike (and they also told me would work with my bike)

Comfort Stitch Adjustable Rider Backrest Kit-52423-09A
http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...r-backrest-kit

Problem is it does not seem to work right with what appears to be the factory adjustable backrest bracket that is on the bike. it slides in but pulls back out easily and just flops to the side. So here are some pictures, maybe someone can point me in the direction of the actual back rest that should fit!

here is one of the backrest they sold me and the mount on my bike. If i could get a part number to the proper one i would appreciate it guys!

That looks like the standard bracket and not the adjustable bracket. You need a new bracket mount

so what is being called adjustable then? because the bike has the lever on the side that allows the backrest to tilt forward and backward. anyone have a part number for the backrest that goes with the pictured mount?

Ahh, if there's a lever and cable then it is adjustable. It's the old style prior to them changing it.

The new style has a notch in the angled piece. The old style has the two holes.

Unless you can find a used bracket or a NOS somewhere, you'll end up having to buy a new bracket.
