Default Rinehart True Dual Quiet Baffles - How Quiet?

I have searched past posts and cant find an answer by someone who actually has run the quiet baffle in the true duals.

I have finished the engine build and did start it prior to stripping the tins and sending out for paint. Did not get to ride it due to extreme snow! but the standard baffles with a 103" high compression engine I am sure is gonna make some noise going down the road.

How much quieter are the "quiet baffles" I am thinking of getting them anyway before dynoing, due to a lot of persons in the forum claiming an increase in low/ middle torque due to a little higher back pressure. I want to hear it running while going down the road, but still want to be able to talk with the wife riding when riding two up, and hear the stereo.

All input appreciated.

Easter Performance has the new quiet baffles in stock but I have yet to hear of a comparison on them. Lot's of people have the older style rineharts with the quiet baffle, but I to would be interested in what the new style quiet baffle did for sound level.

I'm with you and would also like to know. I have decided on True Duals myself and considering the quiet baffles. I was at the Bub headquarters in Grass Valley and was told they have no sound clips availablebut the 2" quiet baffles "reduce exhaust sound and increase engine torque with only a slight HP loss". Their performance baffles are 2 1/2" with the standard somewhere in between. They also said the 2 into 1 preformed better and were quieter yet and I have to admit theylook great on a Street Glide. Anyone know of a better price ($650.00) than Eastern Performance http://www.easternperformance.com/for the True Duals?

We've installed them at the shop, but if they make the Rineharts quieter, no one could tell. There is almost no difference. Rineharts are loud, if you want to talk to the wife, buy something else.

I did a 95" kit, 203 cams, heads ported & polished by big boyz and reinhart true duels. In my opinion pipes were abit loud around town to fully enjoy the stereo, and thats with all 4 hogtunes cranked.Highway riding wasn't an issue. Decided topostpone the dynoand give the quiet baffles a try. 90 bucks from dennis kirk. In my opinionthey tonedthe pipesdown justenough without sacrificing the sound ofthe reinharts. Did the dyno, bike runs excellent, pipesare still plenty loud, and the music sounds great.
