I know the dual bulb headlight has been available for a while. After seeing so many of them on the 14's plus the coming loss of day light has wanting an upgrade.

There is a couple of older threads on the light but I am hoping for more current input.

I"m aware a lot of you are going to suggest the LED, Sorry, cant see spending that much on a head light that I don"t really like the looks of.

Back to The dual bulb light, there is talk of running the same h9 high beam bulb in both high and low beam. and even an HID at least in the low beam. The HID gives you close to LED light output.

Any input on the dual bulb head light?

 

I have one on my 2011 streetglide, on it when I bought it. I was not impressed at all but don't do much night riding. Come to find out it was wired backwards. I fixed it and seems much better but I still am thinking about an hid kit. I read about the h9 fitment and am a little hesitant to try it because it runs hotter so I'm told. If you do it before me let me know.

I'm with you senna, don't like the led headlight look. I choose the dual bulb, the one i like, find one not too expensive on ebay and i'm very happy with it. Yes it's not led or hid but it's a huge improvement over my old oem headlight.
