Default 2006 Ultra Classic radio, speakers cut out

I have a 2006 Electra Glide Ultra Classic with the Harman Kardon advanced radio system. While ridding the sound will cut out from the speakers, however the radio is still on. I can turn off the radio then turn back on and it works fine for about 10-15 minutes and this happens a several times during any ride. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

First I would update the firmware to the current version which is 8.25/8.19 then I would check the connections. Worse comes to worse, plenty of 5.25 take off stockers with all the upgrades being done, could probably get them cheap.

9471Ultra I wondered if somehow I may have changed a setting by mistake, would that cause the radio to cut out but reset when I turn the radio off then back on?

On my o6 Ultra Glide Classic, my radio did the same thing. It wasn't the speakers, its the radio. I ended up installing a biketronics set up that sounded awesome. 7.25 speakers, amp and install kit made it all plug and play. I'd either contact ironcross if you want the stocker fixed or biketronics for a new set up. Good luck...
