Road the RKC to work today without the windshield...
#14
I live in the country, have to ride 25 miles to get to work or anything else, and often rode without the windshield. I have to wear a helmet (mil), and with my half helmet I'd have to cinch down tight, and use ear plugs.
I guess that I just found the right angle in which to sit, and perhaps my bars helped as well; I never felt very uncomfortable, except once. Between going 70, and a 35 mph headwind, a 105 mph wind pushing against you will make anyone uncomfortable!

I'm pretty much the same way. I love riding without when I stay 60mph or below... or 70mph for very short burst... but high speeds for any length of time - it is just not comfortable. I also have helmet issues. I don't mind the wind as much as the helmet wanting to fly off......

I can relate to the stingers in the face....when I'm rocking 3 - 4 months of full beard, that issue goes away...but policy at work keeps me well groomed.
I pretty much agree with most everyone else here, puttin around town or the once in a while short trip across town on the Interstate...but anything over 20 miles and expecting 60mph or better, WindShield goes on

Windshield is off the Heritage most of the time unless going for a distance. And like others have said, it's pretty brutal over 65 or so. Now that I also have a batwing will prob not ride heritage distance anymore, so will prob never use windshield again.
I rode each to work twice this week and the difference is amazing.
