so my dad grabbed up a new 2013 ultra... loves the bike but hated a few things. so he dropped it off in my shop to have some work done on it... I put some 12" apes on (used all the stock cables just had to re route them), put on some highway pegs, some chrome floorboars/accents, new mirrors, chrome grips, and 2013 st glide shocks to drop it about an inch... he hated the sound of the bike.. so he asked me to come up with something for the pipe... here is what we did.
Got a stock exhaust from a 2010 st glide, header and muffler... went with this as the header pipe is a bit shorter, and does not have the turn out for the dual exhaust. (i am a 2-1 beliver for HD motors so that was a must)
first gutted the cat

then moved on to the muffler... gutted the stock baffle, but left in the glass and screen... from there made 2 lollipops for the pipes

installed the 1st lolly about 2" from the inlet and the 2nd about 4-5" in... you will notice i did not clean up all the area where i cut, as i wanted to leave as much there to help knock down the sound and create pressure (dad did not want this to be insane loud)

all done! Sounds great, and i mean GREAT!!! has a nice rumble to it then when you get on it, really opens up... more than that the heat change is unreal! no more flaming hot pipe on the leg! after about 20 miles or so i am guessing that the bike adapted... the throttle response change is amazing. Dad kept asking me what else i changed. very happy to help my dad out after all that he has taught me. just wanted to share what we did
