H-D Heated Handgrips

RE: H-D Heated Handgrips
The liner and gloves each came with a lead to wire to the battery. I put one on each bike. The rest of the connectors are RCA plugs. I put the one on the FXR coming out on the side. On the Ultra I have it coming out at the front of the seat by my *****. I think I will move that one. You plug the garments in, then turn them on after you fire the bike. I wish I had bought them years ago.

k hill,
Do you have this set-up hardwired, or do you just use your accessory plug-in (cigarette lighter). If you hardwired it, I assume your hook-up lead is under the seat?

I have heated gloves and a heated jacket liner. They work on both of my bikes. No installation time. I will ride down to about 20 degrees in comfort. It would not be worth suiting up for short rides, but kicks *** on long ones.

RE: H-D Heated Handgrips
I installed heated grips to the wife's bike. Had to grind the inside of the handlebars to get the connector past the dimple. Didn't have to cut the bar lenght.Had to replacethem once.
I use the Gerbings liner and gloves, I can see where in cool weather it would be more comfortable to use the grips, but when it's cold, I'm still smilin'.
