Default For those who switched to the V&H Big Shots

Ok, i hear that it takes 3 exhaust purchases for satisfaction.
I am getting ready for number 2 and would like to get it right.

For those who installed the V&H Big Shots (True Duals)
are you completely satisfied? Why or Why Not?

Thanks,

I have V&H Big Shots on my Heritage...would not consider them for the bagger, they'd look REALLY small an funny under the bags...

I had Big Shots on my 09 FXDF-awesome look and sound! I put exactly the same pipes on my new (to me) FXDWG.

I've seen them on a Street Glide and even considered getting them since they are fairly cheap. But, after seeing how small they are I decided to go with a set of slip-ons.

I put the V&H Dresser Duals & Slash Cut Rounds on mine, love 'em. Everybody I ride with says they love the sound of them. Big shots & Long Shots look great on Softails/Dynas/Sportys, but as mentioned, they look too small under a set of bags, especially from the rear.

wow, money to burn, you heard that from lazy fools.

if you don't have money to burn, then go to a bike night or some over event and listen to other guys bikes.
See what you like.
You can even ride along and see how they sound at speed.

Do not base any decisions on internet audio clips.

It is possible to pick the right pipes the first time, take your time

Be aware that every rider on the forums will tell you that their pipes "not too loud, deep rumble, really barks when you get on it"

sound is very subjective and loud pipes are no fun 3 hours into an 8 hour day.

NO I would not been there done that they have been my least favorite pipe I have. I tried the night stick set up, V&H big shot duals They sound nasty and are pretty loud for long rides. And S&S power tune duals. Love the S&S.

Have them on my Road King Classic.... absolutely happy with them. They look great and sound even better. Fit and finish is excellent. Would buy again if I had to.

Edit, they are not in the sig. pic below, that is a really old pic, but I like the chick

I wouldn't buy V&H again, unless they up the quality control. Chrome falls off Monster Oval end tips like dandruff off a junkie

I have been reading on exhaust today all night. I have read on a blog that on the new VH True duals that passengers complain on burn on the left side and that also that the second pipe is routed covering the oil dip stick that made it difficult to check your oil. Might experiment with taking the 3 in whole saw and checking that first since the only risk is buying a new set of pipes anyways..
