I have an 05 Electra Glide Std and I'm considering adding the radio/CD player. What would be a good choice for speakers?? Does anyone have the J&M speakers?? If so, how do they compare to Hogtunes??

I did the same thing and got the hogtune speakers. I have not leard the J&M but the hogtunes are great plus customer service is OUTSTANDING.

 

Thats the excact reason I have a set settin' on my workbench....waitin' to install when apaint set comes home.....word of mouth, all I need to hear.

 

I put Kicker RS series speaker on my dads Ultra Classic...

Made a huge difference.

 

Hogtunes only. Any others than Harley or Hogtune speakers have a different ohm resistance and will sound muffled at high volume. The Hogtunes are superior in sound and quality. If you do a search here on that product, you’ll find countless testimonies.

I did J&M before Hogtunes were available. They sound great at all volume.

 

You can always make your own with your local audio shop. When I had my '96 EG, the originals were shot, J&M charged double for 96&97 over other years so I did 'em myself. Pioneer coax, drilled out the rivets in the factory housings, got grille frames from J&J speakerworks, checked with a local lowrider shop how to attach the fabric (3M spray) and went to a fabric store and got matching swimsuit cloth in States Blue. The sound was perfect and the look of the dash got noticed. Your standard doesn't have factory frames, swapmeets always have 'em. Motorcycle boneyards are another choice.

 

Am i missing something? What is wrong with the factory speakers. Mine sound great an are super loud.To many other things to buy.
